Interactive cube practice

Move the position strength, change volatility, and see when a simplified money-game decision crosses from no double to double or too good.

Core question

Will you lose your market before the next roll?

A cube is not decided by win probability alone. Volatility, gammons, recube vig, match score, and the opponent's take point all matter. This public tool deliberately uses a simplified money-game threshold so the interaction teaches urgency rather than pretending to replace full position analysis.

Would you double?

Simplified recommendation

For study only. Match score, cube ownership, gammons, and recube value can change the real decision.

Three thresholds

Separate owning the cube from using it well.

No double

The position may be favorable, but the gain from doubling now is smaller than the value of keeping the cube and waiting.

Double

You have enough advantage and enough market-losing sequences that waiting can waste cube value. The opponent then compares the position with their take point.

Too good

When gammon value is high and the opponent would pass, playing on at cube one can be worth more than collecting a single point immediately.
